2010 Denizli Tobacco Agriculture Report

Turkey has passed more than a year's meet with smoking bans. During this time, we got used to the bans. A great success has been achieved in practice. With this success achieved in favor of human health and non-smokers, cigarette sales dropped by 10–15%.

According to the data of the World Health Organization, the world tobacco consumption per capita was 1.6 kg in 2000. while it was 1.4 kg in 2010 with a decrease of 12.5%. It is predicted to be.

An entry form from the beginning of 2010. While there will be gradually reduced import taxes will be taken from the painful shredded tobacco tobacco market in Turkey. The pain that first made itself felt in the sales of tobacco products in 2009, the tobacco seller, who sold its tobacco at an average price of 7.30 TL the previous year, was barely able to find an average price of 7.00 TL. The pain was continuing. Approximately 20% of the producers in the previous year were abandoned to make the 2010 contracts. Approximately 34% reduction was made from production quantities.

Most of the tobacco planting works were completed between April 15 and May 20 in our region, Denizli, which has to plant tobacco despite everything. As a result of the rainy and cool weather in May and June, he introduced the newly planted tobacco to the disease. Favorable weather conditions caused fungal and bacterial diseases to be effective and spread. The most damage was seen in our Tavas and Kale production centers. Tobacco mildew (bluish flake), which covers the entire fields and affects the lower hands of some of them, was effective in these two regions at a rate of up to 50%. In some villages of Kale and Tavas districts, a small part of the tobacco planted in the field, although there was "collapsing" dish in the seedbed, was completely overturned. MİLDİYÖ disease factors, which cannot be spread with the warming of the weather, have been effective on the bottom, 1st and 2nd main hands and partially 3rd main hand tobacco, and these hand groups have dried on the bast. In the tobacco plant, which continues to grow after this point, the third main, bottom and end hand leaves have become fragile. In this case, about 70% of the fields are crushed by this hand group of leaves. In addition, since the producers do not enter the tobacco fields after the damage of the blueberry (mildew), the weeds for which the first hoes could not be made in most of the contaminated fields have surrounded the fields. Thrips, tobacco fleas, tobacco pregnant and green worms are abundant. Since the producers do not make pesticides in the fields contaminated with Mildew, the destruction of green worms in the seed capsules has increased up to 80%. Therefore, the producers who will plant tobacco in the new year will have some difficulties in finding seeds. In our region, a wide variety of tobacco seeds and tobacco production are carried out together. As a result of the seeds that hybridize over time, it becomes difficult to obtain standard products that are sensitive to diseases and in terms of yield and quality. In order to ensure the product standard, the distribution of certified tobacco seeds to tobacco producers who suffer from bluefish should be made primarily by tobacco companies. The negative effect of fungal and bacterial diseases caused by precipitation in other centers of tobacco production in Denizli is 30%. It is estimated that the tobacco in 2010, during which tobacco crushing and drying processes are carried out and expected to be completed by the end of September, were produced at around 8,500 tons, approximately 40% less than the amount of the contract made and the yield per decare was 50 kg. It is expected that it will happen. It is anticipated that it will happen.

Tobacco still maintains its feature of being an important product in Denizli. 137 million TL of tobacco money was paid, which corresponds to approximately 19,500 tons of tobacco produced as a product of 2009 and traded in 2010. Producers earned an income of approximately 635 TL per decare for 2009 tobacco in which 215 thousand decares of pasture and countryside land were used.

Denizli in Turkey is # 2 in tobacco production. 81 thousand tonnes of approximately 24% of Turkey's production is made in our city. Denizli will maintain its second place in 2010, despite the negative impact of rainfall and bluff.

It is obvious that the tobacco of 2010 will not be able to catch up with the previous year in terms of quality. At this point, a troubled tobacco market awaits our tobacco producers. The damages of tobacco producers, who do not have an organized structure, arising from precipitation are around 40%. The deferral of the debts of producers who have debts to Ziraat Bank and Agricultural Credit Cooperatives for a period of one year was discussed by the Government and a decision of the Council of Ministers was passed.

In the continuation of a sustainable tobacco market, protection of buyers and sellers is essential. In 2010, the tobacco producer needs more protection. It is a difficult task to turn a tobacco man who quit tobacco production back to tobacco. Tobacco companies have to apply their profit rates in 2010 tobacco in favor of producers. The annual average value of our tobacco exports is 450 million dollars.

Hoping not to mention Turkish Tobacco and Tobacco as a memory in the not too distant future.
